The Quarter
Watch your favorite sport with us at The Quarter Sports Bar and Grill, if that’s what we happen to have on the tv at the time. Nascar in Dover June 2 on FX, maybe, if we feel like turning it on. We are the ONLY place on Tybee Island for ESPN2, TURNER SOUTH and FX. Try to watch whatever we’re watching on our 6 TV’s, if you’re not stuck in the chair at the end of the bar where you can't see and you can actually hear it over the bartender's or Big A Judy's ranting and raving, or if you’re not too distracted by some girl taking off her bra. Wait your turn to play pool, darts and Golden Tee Golf in our local hometown dump. Eat stuff off our menu including $3.50/dozen raw oysters and $2/dozen happy hour wings (dine-in only), fixed the way WE want it... no requests or substitutions. You get whatever we give you, and you’re lucky to get it. Food served till 2:45am everyday, out the back door, if he even showed up at all. Happy hour Monday-Friday 4-7pm (excluding holidays). Open everyday of the year, unless the boss has a “Barlow moment”, fires everyone, closes the place, and they all go to Karaoke. Monday-Saturday 4pm-3am, Sunday 12:30pm-3am... or later if you’re female, drunk & look good enough. JUNE 1st - Children's Fishing Tournament - Sponsored by: Tybee Marine Rescue Squadron & Crab Shack Chimney Creek Marina. Ages 0 to 13, Every child registered gets a prize. Register at the CRAB SHACK GIFT SHOP ONLY ! $ 3.00 Registration fee. Captains Meeting at 9:30 am, Fishing from 10:00 am till 2:00 pm, Awards and prizes given out at 3:00 pm. Summer Evening Serendipity
Tybee Island's second annual gallery tour series, The Summer Serendipity, will begin the weekend of June 22, 2002. Galleries will be open featuring demonstrations and guest artists all weekend with receptions on Saturday evening at each location. Maps and information about the tour will be available at each participating location.
*Atlantic Beacon Gallery 1606 Butler (southend) 786-9386., World renowned master Artist, Marcos Blahove, famous for his portraiture in oils, children on the beach, florals and more will be the feature artist.
*Dragonfly Studio, 1204 E Hwy 80, 786-4431,Dragonfly Studio will host Liz's Luxuries, a selection of handcrafted purses created from cigar boxes and highlighted with beads and buttons. Spring flowers and other whimsies will fill the gallery.
*Nautilus Studio Gallery 701 E Hwy 80. 786-4462, At Nautilus Studio Gallery, the very special guest artist is Judy Lynch Smithey, an extraordinary watercolor artist from Little Rock, Arkansas. Judy's art is represented in galleries throughout the country.

At the Lighthouse Gallery there will be a wide range of artworks by the members of the Tybee Arts Association. This newly relocated gallery is in the building that also houses the Tybee Visitors' Center.

The Summer Serendipity receptions at each gallery are from 6 PM until 10 PM on Saturday, June 22, 2002. The tour may begin at any gallery which can provide maps to the other locations.
