American Legion Post #154 would like to thank everyone for making their
Fund Raiser Auction for the Air Conditioner such a great success, also
Kudos to the #154th Color Guard for First Place Win in the Veterans Day
Competition !!!! Lots of activities planned for December so mark your
calendars. Starting with the Ladies Auxiliary Flea Market slated for
Saturday, the 7th. Table rentals are $10.00. On the 8th will resume the
Steak Dinners, don’t forget to call and make reservations. 786-5356. On
the 9th will be the regular meeting and on the 14th our Annual Christmas
Party! This is for our Tybee Children at 7:00 pm. There will be a
Covered Dish Dinner along with Gifts for every child. Call the Legion
with names and ages of kids please. December 31st will celebrate our New
Years Eve Party. Tybee Formal. $50.00 couple, includes party favors,
Champagne at Midnight and Breakfast. Live Music to Dance the New Year in
with the tunes of "Two Left Feet". Make your reservations early!! Don’t
forget Bingo every Friday Night and Horseshoes on Saturday nights of
course these are subject to change according to events scheduled. Open 7

Fannies will be hosting a Special Benefit to help one of Tybee’s
Favorites, Dave Reese who injured his hand in a work related injury from

This Benefit will be featuring lots of local area musicians including
the Christy Alan Band, Roy and the Circuit Breakers, Charlie Sherrill, &

December 8th
A Holiday Serendipity
Tybee’s arts community will host a holiday gallery tour on Sunday,
December 8, 2002. Galleries will open from 1 PM until 5 PM with guest
artists, new work by gallery artists and door prizes highlighted by
holiday music, decorations and cheer. The Serendipity art tours have
become a tradition and the artists are celebrating the holiday season by
creating some special holiday ornaments that are as special as our
island home and will become a new tradition. Ornaments will include
pottery, shell art, etched glass and tiny framed artwork that are in
limited editions and all handmade and will be available during the tour.
Maps to all the locations will be available the day of the tour at any

Christmas Gift Roundup for the Mayor’s Motorcade at 10am on Dec.
11th. Bring new, unwrapped gifts to Tybee Island City Hall before Dec.
11th for the residents of Georgia Regional Hospital.
December 14th
The City of Tybee presents their annual "Children's Christmas
Party with Santa", Saturday, December 14th at City Hall from 2-4 pm.
Come visit with Santa and let him know all your Christmas wishes. And
for all those last minute Christmas wish lists, Santa will have his tent
set up on the lawn at City Hall starting December 20th thru Christmas
Eve the 24th! Visiting hours will be from 7pm till 9:30pm on the 20th
thru the 23rd. Christmas Eve, Santa will be available from 6:30 till
9:00pm. Live music will be provided nightly from 7:30 till 8:30, so
young and young at heart come visit with Santa and may all your
Christmas dreams come true !!!
