August 17th & 18th - Summer Serendipity The third and final Summer Serendipity gallery tour of the season will be held on the weekend of August 17-18, 2002, with receptions in all participating Tybee Island galleries on the 17th from 6:00 - 10:00 PM. Tybee's galleries are as eclectic as one would expect and each will offer its own special fare for the evening. Sonjia Dittmar's Dragonfly Studio hosts masseuse, Chris Soucy, bath and body products and a walk through the Zen Garden. Shell Art etc. in the Shops at Tybee Oaks features a local artist each month and will host Tybee's favorite, Sally Bostwick, for August. Also at Tybee Oaks, Peaseblossum Gallery & Boutique will be showing whimsy from gallery artists. The Lighthouse Gallery of the Tybee Arts Association offers up a feast for the eye with its ongoing members' show. Nautilus Studio Gallery will feature new alla prima oils by Linda Lindeborg and the energetic paintings of Tricia Smith in the gallery accompanied by a little night music. Atlantic Beacon Gallery will feature work by local photographer Fred Urvant throughout the month of August.Directions to all locations available at participating galleries. King Mackerel is a musical feast created and performed by the original New York cast . One performance only to benefit the Tybee Theater on Saturday September 28th, at the Tybee Lighthouse.
